The Burnaby Housing Market is On Fire Thanks to the Japanese Earthquake

Ian Watt video blogs about how there are many people who believe that ever since the Japanese Earthquake many Chinese buyers are avoiding Richmond and buying in selective areas of Burnaby. If there is one thing keeping your property from selling, its usually the price.  If you want to voice your opinion or if you don't care for Ian's comments please email your feedback to ianwatt@ianwatt.ca and visit http://www.ianwatt.ca/RealEstateVideos for all the Ian Watt Real Estate Video Blogs. Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Obviously I worked in Downtown Vancouver and that includes Yaletown, Downtown, Coal Harbour, the West End and Gastown. However I do make exceptions for friends and family members. So my aunt wants to sell her place in Burnaby and I don't know much about Burnaby market and I don't know anything about houses either this will be my third house I ever sold. Now I was talking with the manager of another real estate offices and he was saying that, you know what rich men ever since the Japanese earthquake hasn't been doing so well as well as before because it is in a kind of martial and I guess and they're afraid of tsunami etc. etc. So most of the chinese buyers are buying in Burnaby. Burnaby is very hot right now, well good timing for my aunt because my aunt put her place on the market. We had a 121 people through the open house on Sunday which that alone is ridiculous had six offers and it sold for over asking. Were asking 799 it sold for 921. I can't believe it obviously it's a great time to sell in Burnaby there is a lot of people looking for things in the Metro town area if you do have a nice house in a sought after neighborhood. Burnaby is on fire. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
