Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Of course everybody remembers this in 2008 were across the Shangri-la in Georgia Street at 1133 Georgia the Ritz Carlton was going to built half hotel and half luxury condominiums on top. It was pre-sold and a lot of people did purchase but in 2008 of course the world change we have that mini recessioning Downtown Vancouver. The recession started around the world. And in 2009 they gave all the deposits back. However it appears that building is under construction again and it still gonna be that 68 storey twist that Arthur Erickson design which is fabulous but instead of the 163 units it appears that though it’s gonna be 219 units and how they’re gonna do that instead of this luxurious suites. They’re gonna make them smaller and instead of the over height ceilings they’re gonna bring that down as well into like an 8 foot ceiling. So I think it’s very important that a lot of people don’t get mixed up that it’s not gonna be this ultra luxurious building that was before. But nonetheless it’s still gonna be fabulous and it appears that the Ritz Carlton is not involved anymore. I still can’t get a conformation but nonetheless it’s gonna be fantastic for the neighbor and every time a new building opens up whether it is totally over price or not I do get excited because it’s just means our city is growing. My name is Ian Watt if you have any questions you can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca.Thank you very much and have a great day!
