Vancouver Condo Days on the Market For Active Units Not Sold

Blog by Ian Watt | April 3rd, 2017

Ian Watt video blogs about how many people are talking about the average days on the market in 12 days in Downtown Vancouver. However, this is for units sold in Downtown, Yaletown, the West End and Coal Harbour but for active units that haven’t sold the average days on the market is 53 days.

Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Please keep in mind when you see the reports of being a really hot market and things selling ten days on the market on average or twelve days on the market on average keep in mind those are the units that are sold the once haven’t sold if you calculate every listing in Downtown Vancouver right now the average days on the market for the once you haven’t sold is 53 days on the market. It doesn’t seem quite as hot considering a ninety day listing is pretty typical. So it is some have been on for ninety days, some have been on for one week the average is 53 but the once that are selling on 10 days, 12 days is 14 days on the market and that’s the average for things that are well-priced the one’s that are not so well priced they’re gonna sit. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions you can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
