Ian Watt : Hi good afternoon! It's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. I have been doing about 280 video blogs. I've been uploading them to 3 different players for a couple of years now. Youtube just because it reaches out there, viddler cause it's interactive and Vimeo cause picture quality is so sharp. Now about a year and a half ago Vimeo shut me down and they said " you know what Ian, you can't do anything commercial, you can't talk about any properties. So were gonna eliminate this video and this video and this video." And they left out a hundred of videos but they, they went through each one and deleted the ones where I was talking about anything that was somewhat commercialized. No problem, I can totally understand that situation. So I was very careful for the year and a half after to not do anything like that and thats why i just do video blogs. It's a day-to-day blog about what I do and real estate business but it's never selling anything. Well, last week Vimeo shut me down again entirely. Two hundred and eighty video blogs completely gone, completely dropped and it's such an unfortunate situation that they didn't go through and actually looked at all at these video blogs to see if I were saying anything. Hey buy this, buy that, buy this, buy that. They should have looked through it. So anyways nonetheless I gave Gary Vaynerchuk a shout out and I said " Hey Gary, this is my situation. I know you're tight with Viddler. Can you check on this? Cause if i embed all the viddler ones onto my website and then I get a shutdown again it's such a huge headache to upload them. So Gary looked into it. He called the people at Viddler. Viddler said Ian you know what? " they just sent me an email, " we're happy to have you on our player." That's great! Fantastic customer service and Vimeo is hasn't even replied to any of my emails. I guess they never saw the ending or they lost my email address. I don't know. But nonetheless it's such garbage because they just want to keep it as art. However if you look at half the crap on Vimeo half of it is just blogs day-to-day blogs. I dont get it. But anyways, its Vimeo's lost Viddler's gain. I got to say a Big Thank You to Viddler and a Bigger Thank You to Gary Vaynerchuk for helping me out in this situation. If you want to discuss video blogging. You can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you very much and have a great day!
