Craigslist and our duty as realtors to disclose

Ian Watt video blogs about the many realtors who work craigslist fishing for leads without disclosing they are realtors. Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. I'm right below the BC Place Stadium right now. Right by gm play stadium head back into the Yaletown. Got an email from a client, past client. He's looking around he's been looking on craigslist for a different things that are coming out and one of his really big disappointments was on craigslist. How few realtors are putting there things out there and actually disclosing that there realtors they kind of make it look a little bit more attractive that it is. It sounds like it's for sale by owner and he's just really upset about it and he was kind of miff that people are not disclosing that realtors and truth be told we have to disclose that were realtors. We have to put on all our advertisements that we are realtors which companies we worked for and our contact information. So it's kind of unfortunate that those realtors are doing this little spammy techniques did use to sale man things. But don't paint every realtor with the same brush in any industry no matter what you do there's gonna be a few people bending the rules, breaking the rules or just given a people a bad name. So not every realtor is doing that and the ones that are on craigslist and they are posting their information. Yeah, give them a shot. My name is Ian Watt. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
