When a Real Estate Brokerage Offers AeroMiles & Airmiles Read the Fine Print
Ian Watt video blogs about how a client was almost swayed to another brokerage because he was under the impression that he would would receive 600,000 AeroMiles for the purchase of a $600,000 condo. Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It's Ian Watt in Downtown
Vancouver. If it's too good to be true it definitely is. I have a
client he's wondering if he should go with this other compaies. The
other real estate offices offer AeroMiles or AirMiles or AeroMoves or
whatever you they call it. A point system if you buy through them and
he was under the impression with him buying a $600,000 condo he would
get $600,000 AeroMiles or AirMiles or whatever they're called. There's
a bunch of companies offering different things. But the truth be told
it's actually capped at a certain number. It depends on which company
you're dealing with. Well we looked into it for him. He would have
gotten a round trip ticket that would have cost probably $200 if he had
gone through that brokerage. Now thats fine. He can go that road if he
wants it. That's the most important thing to him. But keep in mind, you
are not gonna get $600,000 Airmiles for buying a $600,000 condo. It
just doesn't work that way. There's a lot of fine print and you should
look into it. If you're thinking about moving to another brokerage just
for the AirMiles or AeroMiles or whatever you call them. My name's Ian
Watt. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very
much and have great day!
