The First 3 Days of Condos Sales After The Olymics in Downtown Vancouver
Ian Watt video blogs about how after the Olympic Games in Downtown Vancouver the listings are coming out at a very active pace (106 Listings in 3 days) and unfortunately due to the less than normal real estate activity during the games the sales are certainly not balanced (22 Sales in 3 days). Ian Watt: Hi Good Afternoon, its Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Last Sunday the Olympics had just completed
in Vancouver. Obviously Downtown Vancouver was basically on shut down,
real estate was quite slow except for some pre-sales and some a display
centers sales that made some media news which were like 22 million
dollars for some sales. But real estate in general was quite slow in
the Downtown core and everything that's reported is usually takes about
ten days maybe two weeks to come to fruition from one day offers first
accepted. Oh I thought is very interesting was that. Today is Wednesday
so it's 3 days and after the Olympics. All the listings that came out
which are usually about 25 or 30 listings. To 25 or 30 sales everyday
and they're usually quite balance for the first 3 days since the
Olympics finished. There are a hundred and six new listings and 22
sales. That shows you that during the Olympics everything was quite on
lock down, shut down. And now the Olympics are over, people are
bringing their listings out and it's going to take about ten days or
two weeks before all these sales are reported. Very interesting 106 to
22. 106 listings to 22 sales not a great start after the Olympics but I
think a lot of us realtors saw this one coming. My name is Ian Watt and
if you have any questions. You could always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
