Realtor ethics have hit an all time low - IanWatt.com is not for sale
Ian Watt video blogs about a Vancouver realtor, not by the name of Ian Watt, who is trying to buy IanWatt.com from a man in Aberdeen just to create "Spammy" web traffic. What ethical realtor would do that? Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. I got an email this morning from a guy in Aberdeen an his name is Ian Watt. I emailed him years ago regarding his domain which is fantastic it's ianwatt.com and the funny thing is I said well if you ever want to sell it or if you want to get rid of it please let me know, I know it's a little bit of crowd of people who would wanted but yes please let me know. So anyways three years later I get an email from him.. oh by the well I'm not sure if I want to sell it but there's a guy in Vancouver wanting to buy it. And to his surprise and to my surprise as well. He's a realtor from Vancouver. Not by the name of Ian Watt and the thing that drive me nuts about this because I know who it is. The person who is trying to buy it is trying to forward if you type in the ianwatt.com. Trying to forward all the traffic to his real estate website in Downtown Vancouver. Of course mine is ianwatt.ca and what you get to his website you realize it's not me. But I think is that a spammy kind of techniques that use caed salesman that trick in putting a flyer up in a lobby of a building that says I have tons of buyers for your property please call me they want to buy your property. You know what if they really wanted to buy the property. You wouldn't have to put up that sign I don't know it's just a ridiculous and how would you feel as a buyer going to ianwatt.com and then realizing your at the other realtors website that's name doesn't even Ian Watt. It's kind of a reap off and that kind of stuff gives a realtors a bad name. It's what capping our profession from becoming a profession in the eyes of all the general public. My name is Ian Watt.
