Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Doing the year in review for 2011 for Yaletown this week. And in Yaletown there is seven hundred and eighty two listings sold last year the most expensive one would that 1199 Marinaside one of the penthouses there sold for $7.5 million dollars for just over 5000 square feet and it blows me away. I know it’s been listed before but it only sold in 16 days. Awesome work for that realtor. The cheapest one was at 1188 Richard street right on the corner of Richardson and Davie right where the park is and that was a 420 square foot studio that sold for $275,000 dollars. The average though obviously there is a quite big range between those two properties but the average price for square foot in Yaletown in 2011 sold for $751 dollars per square foot. That is a good number to show for what’s going on in Yaletown. Really strong that’s what I think. This year I don’t think there will be too much changes so if you’re in Yaletown good for you. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions you could always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
