Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon it’s ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. I think it’s very fascinating when somebody comes along they see a property that they just love yet they totally criticize it and they say well it’s a great place I want to buy it but the price is wrong because I have to do this things I don’t like the laminate floors I want real hardwood floors, I have to change the lighting, I want to make a shower instead of a bathtub/shower and all these upgrades will gonna cost me $50,000 dollars. Well it’s kinda funny that they factor that into their purchase they should be looking at something much more cheaper and then put that towards the renovation so they break even come to the same amount maybe that’s their deal. But they always do that they come in and say to make it our standards, upgrade it to this. It’s gonna cost up much money. But my seller doesn’t really care, my seller says this is the price if you want to buy it buy it, whatever you do, do it do it that’s up to you but that’s not my seller’s problem so don’t tell us all the things you need to change about this property and why the price should be less. It’s kinda like going to buy pants and you got short little legs so you should go to Banana Republic or Gap and complain to the salesperson that you got short little legs and you have to hem the pants so they should discount the ten dollars for the hemming it sound pretty ridiculous when you say it that way but that’s exactly what you are doing when you come and talk to me the listing agent about why the people should discount the price in order to customize the property for your like it. It’s ridiculous keep that to yourself or keep it to buyers agent but don’t bug my seller about it because it is not their problem. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
