How Much Does the Value of a Condo Increase per Floor?

#2 July 22, 2013 - How much does the value increase per floor for Vancouver condos? Really good question. Well presale marketing companies have lead buyers to believe that it's anywhere from $2000 to $5000 per floor for your typical Vancouver condo. As everyone wants to be as high as possible, the presale marketers know they can charge as much as someone is willing to pay. However for resale, is a waterfront 8th story condo with unobstructed views worth any less than the 9th floor waterfront condo with the same views? I don't think so. I believe, if the views in a 30 story building are blocked from the ground to the 21st floor, then the 22nd floor with an open view can't be worth $2000 more, but possibly $20,000 more. There is no rule for these values because each building and each condo is so uniquely case by case. However, as you know what your condo is truly worth is only what someone is willing to pay. Make sense?
