Ian Watt video blogs about how the BC Strata Property Act Does Not Extend to First Nations Land and people who are buying condos in North Vancouver, Tsawwassen or any other region in the province should get an expert opinion on the differences in the strata corporations, bylaws and rules. Ian Watt: Hi Good Afternoon, It's
Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. On this glorious December day. Now I
don't know if its important to you if your looking at Downtown condos
but the Strata Property Act covers pretty much every strata issue that
we may have in British Columbia. The Strata Property Act is a
provincial a that just much sure that no matter what you do. If you are
a developer or a Strata owner or a Strata Corporation. It gives you all
the guidelines of what you can and cannot do. The one thing that I just
learn is that there are some properties in North Vancouver and in
Tsawwassen as well that are all made of land. Now those condos on made
of land are not part of the a provincial Strata Property Act. So you
might wanna dig really deep into that one just to find out what it's
all about and what are the variances between the Strata Property Act
and what they have on their lands there. You might think you're just
buying a regular condo but you might be in for a few surprises. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions. You can always email me at
ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
