Open Houses and Selling Tenanted Condos in Downtown Vancouver
Ian Watt video blogs about how doing open houses at tenanted properties are probably not the best to showcase the condos as tenants don't always have the seller's best interest in mind, also it could be a strain on the tenant, owner and realtor relationship. If you want to voice your opinion or if you don't care for Ian's comments please email your feedback to ianwatt@ianwatt.ca and visit http://www.ianwatt.ca/RealEstateVideos for all the Ian Watt Real Estate Video Blogs.
Ian
Watt: Hi good afternoon it's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Please
keep in mind when were working in Downtown Vancouver about 50% of the
properties that were selling are tenanted and half an owner occupied.
That's the way it works dealing with tenanted property is a little bit
difficult. Obviously doing agents opens or open houses are very very
difficult because well first of all they don't always show the best and
second of all they don't really want to cooperate all the time. So what
we always do we try to show up the schedule that works best for the
tenants and then they don't get thick off that will calling them all the
time and an occupying their place on their days off. So keep in mind we
do do open houses but generally not for tenantive properties. It's just
an inconvenience for the tenants and it doesn't show the property in
the best light. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions. You
can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
