Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Right now I'm sitting on the seawall on the north side of False Creek and right behind me here's the Concord Pacific new show suite for this area that their building some places at. Now it's unfortunate because right beside me here is one of fifteen trees that were lap down without getting a permit from Concord Pacific. They did get a permit later after they lap them down but basically they took them all down because they are in the way of their beautiful show suite which is right behind me. It's unfortunate because these ones here were going for about 30 or 40 years and now they're all ripped down they torn down. They plant a whole bunch of little trees that are about five centimeters in diameter but the unfortunate thing is that we don't just have the opportunity or the time to watch this trees grow and develop it in mature and even this little plastic like trees that are they putting in are not the same as what we have right here. Of course they do have a better view and this from the shows which does not much better. But it's unfortunate that we don't have any re-course or the cities not gonna go after them or pin them in some way for lapping down 15 trees without getting a permit first. My name is Ian Watt. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
