I Am Not An Economist And I Have No Idea How To Predict The Future

Ian Watt: Hi, Good afternoon! It's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Now in regards to the video blog I did last week regarding Vancouver prices being down 30% and writing offers (blah blah blah!) I got a lot of feedback a lot of emails from other just viewers or whatever that wanted to share their feelings on it and they want to make a comment on it but what I have to. The whole point of that was, I have a marketing background and I also took a six week course at UBC to become a realtor many years ago. I'm not an economist I don't pretend to be an economist. I'm not a financial planner. I don't know if the market is going like this or it's going like this or it's staying like this. But right now it seems pretty consistent like that. But what happens next year I don't know, it's beyond the scope of my brain. I have no idea if it will go down the 30% or go up 30% but there is more downward pressure than upward pressure I do know that. So, the whole point is I am a realtor who focuses on listing present or listings. That's all I do listings, listings, listings. I try and expose the property the most amount of people possible. So we can sell your property at the best price in today's market. That's all I can do. I'm not telling you to buy cause you gonna make lots of money (blah blah blah) No no no, I'm here to sell your place and market it properly. So if your looking for an economist. Don't look to me or I hate to say it. The realtors are all in the same boat. We have inklings but very few realtors I think have a degree in economics. Just the way it is or financial planning.
