Gastown is Where Ian Watt Is Placing His Personal Real Estate Bets

Ian Watt video blogs about how he feels that Gastown is ripe for growth in real estate with some heavy hitters like Concord Pacific and Salient owning many undeveloped properties in the area. Ian Watt: Hi, Good afternoon! It's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. People are always asking me where are the deals where the deals. Call me if there's a deal. There's a deals everywhere but where I've placed my own personal bets is Gastown. I guess Gastown is right for huge change. We've seen a lot of changes in the last two years thanks to Woodwards etc. But Gastown has changed and look out all the fantastic restaurants that are in the area now. My understanding that Robert Fang in Salient have a bunch of properties still. Concord Pacific what I'm told had seven properties in Gastown. So you just think even if that just ten properties for those two developers right there. You got to think that's another 2,000 middle class, upper middle class people moving to the area. Changing everything and we see it a hundred dollars to two hundred dollars cheaper than other areas in the Downtown core per square foot so that's where I've personally bought and I still own a place in Yaletown and that will go up and down with the market. But I think as far as most growth is concern in the Downtown core. I will go Gastown or maybe even West of Denman. My name is Ian Watt and if you have any questions. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
