Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It’s Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. For the last year and a half I've been marketing myself for this video blogs. They've gotten a lot of attention and I get a lot of media as well but I also get a lot of critics and people that don't understand what's going on. Now our industry in general is quite are kayak as far as real estate marketing is concern and how we do our practice and our services. But we do have a code of ethics in things that we are supposed to, guidelines that we're supposed to go through with our real estate marketing. And the unfortunate thing is that Web 2.0 is prominent everywhere. Our clients get it and that's the thing. Some realtors are getting it and they're changing the way real estate is being done. Now the problem is that our guidelines for the Real Estate Board they are all written for print advertising they have no clue on what the guideline should be. As far as Web 2.0 is concerned and I bet you if you ask all those people who made up the rules they don't even know what the Web 2.0 is. So I'm getting a lot of flock from people from saying things and doing things that nobody's ever done before. And the problem is because Web 2.0 is changed real estate and the way the real estate is being conducted. I think the Real Estate Board should realize that and update their codes of ethics and or maybe not the code of ethics but just the guidelines as far as marketing is concern. They don't know what to do with me but I'm changing with a handful of the other people. I'm changing real estate marketing. One blog at a time and they don't know what to do. So if I get suspended that I'm sure if I get suspended it's not going to be for screw over the client it's for saying the wrong thing and thrown it out on internet. That's the way the problem is we have to update our system, our clients get it but 95% of all the people in real estate do not. My name is Ian Watt. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
