Ian Watt: Hi good afternoon! It's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. I want to say thank you to all the intelligent people who participated in the Agent Genius Website not website magazine forum that we did about lockboxes and I guess we can all appreciate that no matter what market your in, different practices are are okay. For sure you can use a lockbox in some areas you can't and some areas as long as you can satisfy your clients. Now I was happy with everyone, everyone are really good points so not everybody but some people have really great points. This week I want to shifted up, in Vancouver we have the Real Estate Board and we have the Real Estate Council. The Real Estate Board is what we are are membership board and everyone's is a member. The Real Estate Council is a government agency, a watch dog or a consumer protection agency that gives us the laws of what we can do and can't do and they have strict laws regarding advertising and disclosure of our brokerages and what not. They don't have any thing foe web 2.0 so what they're doing is just blanketing twitter and facebook in videos with advertising and I have a problem with that so I sent the video over to them saying let's open a discussion about web 2.0 so we know how its gonna affect as long term. They didn't really like my video first of all they didn't like what I'm putting out there I I assume. But second of all they don't have speakers at their office so they couldn't hear what I was saying, so it fell on deaf ears so to speak. Now, I want to explain because web 2.0 is going to have a long term effect on our business. And it's not an advertising because twitter I think is communication . And advertising is promoting your property or yourself. Marketing yes it's all marketing sure no problem but I think we have to come up with new rules. So I want you to help me out What do you think is the long term effect on twitter, facebook, videos is going to have in real estate business and how is she monitor what people can do and what they can't do. So on agent can't speak today agent genius website today magazine today. I would like you to help me out and let me know what you think of web 2.0. My name is Ian Watt. You can always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
