Realtor Performance Rating System on the Vancouver MLS

Ian Watt video blogs about hearing about the Houston MLS system and how they have a realtor rating system. In every transaction both parties involved have the abililty to rate their agents after the transaction and it is then published on the MLS for the public to see. If you want to voice your opinion or if you don't care for Ian's comments please email your feedback to ianwatt@ianwatt.ca and visit http://www.ianwatt.ca/RealEstateVideos for all the Ian Watt Real Estate Video Blogs.

Ian Watt: Hi Good Afternoon, It's Ian Watt in Downtown Vancouver. Just got back from the Canadian Real Estate Associations Technology Conference in Victoria. They're people from all over all over North America there. There is one gentleman there in particular his name is Bob and he was from Houston. He was talking about how their MLS works there. After every transaction what happened is I guess an email get send out to the buyer or the seller of the property and you rate your realtors performance on that. Then, all that data is put out there for the general public to see. And their score cards and what they've sold this year are out there for everyone to see. I think that is the fan most fantastic thing possible. I wish we had that in our MLS because it would show who's doing what business, who's doing great business and who's not doing any business. That's what the general public wants. They want some, they want some information, they want authenticity and they want it all real and data from their own home owner computer. It's fantastic! I don't know why we don't do it here. I bet you it's coming soon because that sort of authenticity is what's lacking on our MLS. And I think we got a pretty good MLS system, but that's what we need. We need our past clients to rate us and tell us how were doing because soon someone's gonna have rate your teacher kind of stupid website out there for realtors. And it's not gonna be our client's rating us, it's gonna be other realtors rating other realtors. So, I think it's very important that our MLS steps up to the back and offer their service for the general public. My name is Ian Watt. If you have any questions regarding the Korea Conference. you could always email me at ianwatt@ianwatt.ca. Thank you very much and have a great day!
